Citing preliminary police communications, the incident occurred inside the Howard Yard and Shops, near Juneway Terrace and Paulina Avenue, around 11:53 p.m.
Updated information indicated the workers were injured on the Evanston side of the border.
This has not been confirmed, but it appears two people were pinned underneath a CTA train.
If more details become available, this article will be updated, accordingly.
UPDATE: Saturday, 12:16 a.m. -- An officer at the scene said the victims were "breathing." That's all he would say about their condition. The injured CTA employees were transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, in unspecified condition.
