If you are wondering why someone would shoot a father while he's changing his daughter's diaper... Chicago News Report may have the answer... drugs!
Monday, around 12:45 p.m., 29-year-old Jonathan Watkins and his 6-month-old daughter, Jonylah Watkins, were shot on the 6500 block of South Maryland Avenue in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
According to various news reports, Watkins was changing his daughter's diaper when a gunman approached and opened fire.
One bullet ripped through baby-Jonylah's right shoulder and lodged in her left thigh; which means the bullet may have damaged some major organs.
Citing the latest update, father and daughter are both in critical to serious condition.
When Chicago News Report heard this horrific story, we knew there had to be more to it. So, we did a little digging. Guess what we found.
Via a reliable source, we were told a Jonathan E. Watkins was arrested back in June of 2012. The Mr. Watkins named by our source, was arrested for possession of marijuana, with intent to distribute.
According to court records, at the time of his arrest, the Watkins fingered my our informant was carrying about 30 grams of weed... in street value that's roughly $30, or three dime bags.
So, is this is a photo of little Jonylah's daddy?
30 grams is a little over an ounce, but given the quality of the "weed" those people have, you are right it isnt worth more than $30

A dime bag is 1 to 1.25 grams. They usually go for around $10-25 depending on strength. Being caught with 3 dime bags ain't hurting anybody nor I doubt he's distributing. If anything, he would be giving a bag to his friends. Face it, a lot of people smoke weed today. Since we all don't have great access to healthcare, weed always has been a good calming alternative and technically contains 0 harmful drugs as it's nothing but a grown plant. Now, if this dude was slinging bags of crack in his baby's diaper, was known for selling heroin and meth, yeah I'd be more concerned about not giving many fucks about this guy. So far from what it sounds, this guy was just doing the day-to-day.

It wasn't until I was an adult that I had more contact with them at work and on the train. All I can say is that they come from a different culture and not in a good way. As much as I have tried with an open mind to be friendly and cordial, I cannot relate. Maybe it's their upbringing. A majority of them grow up with no father. I don't want to lump a whole race together, but this group is definitely unique compared to other groups. I remember thinking back when there was a huge celebration in the city when the Black Hawks won the championship and there wasn't one incident during the event. I hate to say this, but if it were all African Americans celebrating something there most likely would have been looting and other incidents.......similar to Ford City Mall three weeks ago. It's too bad, but it is what it is. My heart goes out to the poor little baby. It comforts me somewhat that she's in heaven now. The problem that we have in the city is not going away. The father arranged to have his kid killed so he could just get rid of the burden and avoid child support; maybe he was mad at the child's mother. He got a friend to help him fake a gang hit.
