Man in checkered shorts robs Lakeview gas station


Police are looking for a man who robbed a North Side Lakeview neighborhood gas station.

The robbery occurred at CITGO, 4070 North Clark Street, near Belle Plaine and Clark, between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m.

The offender was described as a black male in his 30s, 5’11” to 6-feet-tall, and 220 to 240 pounds.

The crook was wearing a white T-shirt, white checkered shorts with gray underwear underneath, and black shoes.

The thief stole $1000 from the register and he also took the clerk’s cell phone, said police

After the robbery, the suspect ran southbound through an alley behind the CITGO.

  2. Thanks for keeping me on my toes! You are correct. Because this gas station is on the west side of Clark Street, it falls within the boundaries of Lakeview. :-)
