According to several police dispatch reports, the fire, which was reported around 8:30 p.m., was somewhere in the vicinity of the 500 block of West Cornelia Avenue and the 3500 block of North Pine Grove Avenue.
An officer at the scene repeatedly asked dispatch to tell the Chicago Fire Department to “get their butts over here”.
During the last update, several wires were on the ground.
ComEd was notified around 8:39 p.m.
Power outages are expected in the immediate area, near Pine Grove, Brompton, and Cornelia, said officials.
