
At 1:56 a.m., a male victim was robbed near the intersection of North Winthrop Avenue and West Winona Street, said police.
The suspect was described as a male black wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black and red shoes.
According to police dispatch, after the alleged robbery, the victim followed the suspect, while giving police updates on the offender’s whereabouts.
At 2:01 a.m., police apprehended the alleged suspect at 5343 North Sheridan Road, in front of Breaker’s Pantry.
