The sexual assaulted occurred at the Miller South Shore Line station near the on 5800 block of East Dunes Highway, near East Dunes Highway and Lake Street.
Police said the 68-year-old woman went inside the station to escape the rain.
While inside, a black man believed to be in his 20s, raped the senior citizen at gunpoint, said Gary police.
Officials said the sexual assault was caught on a security camera.
The alleged rapist was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with black letters on the front and back of the shirt.
According to various news sources, the offender fled the scene on a dark-colored or black, BMX-style bike.
Comments left on several news sites suggest security is a major concern at many South Shore Line stations.
Commuters claim the stations are frequented by the homeless.

One of the things that disgusts me about black people is they find senior citizens sexually attractive.
ReplyDeleteLast building I lived in it was mostly Section 8 guys, riding the elevator some big strapping buck was ferociously hitting on a obese, flabby, disgusting senior citizen who smelled like a dirty diaper.
Evolution in most civilized species has more or less instilled in human beings that seniors are not sexually viable, therefore we are instinctively disgusted by them and don't want to "muh dik" them. Somehow this has not been infused into the african race at all. Disgusting!
So many people in Northwest Indiana take this line to go to Michigan City. The South Shore is normally a safe railline. My mother who is 65 takes the southshore alone. No one is safe.
ReplyDeleteBlack people are not the only folks who rape little old ladies. There are plenty of stories of whites and Hispanics doing the same damn thing. If you can't admit that then you are the one who needs to evolve!
