Woman’s necklace snatched in West Ridge


A thief snatched a woman’s chain in the West Rogers Park, West Ridge neighborhood, said police.

The 8:54 a.m. robbery occurred on the 2600 block of West Devon Avenue, near Devon and Washtenaw, on Chicago‘s North Side.

The offender was described as a clean-shaven, thirty-something-year-old black man wearing a white shirt with a flower print and blue jeans.

The suspect, who has a dark complexion, is 5’10” to 6-feet-tall and 180 to 200 pounds.

He was last seen running eastbound through a north alley near Devon and Washtenaw.

  4. People fight back!! Take back your neighborhoods. Having black thugs walking around our neighborhoods without any regard for authority is totally unacceptable. Yes I know not all black people are thugs, that you be a racist thing to so, however it is very easy to distinguish the good ones from the thugs. If you see a black thug on the street, DO NOT WAIT TO CALL THE POLICE! Just call the police immediately and tell them that you see a thug on the street acting suspiciously. Let the local police know that it's ok to go over thugs proactive. That is the only way we will get our neighborhoods back from these so called people.
