Man’s nose broken in Ravenswood attack
A man fought off two muggers and sustained a broken nose in the process, said police.
Two Hispanic men in their twenties tried to robbed a man on the 5200 block of North Washtenaw Avenue, near Foster and Washtenaw, around 12:30 a.m.
The offenders tried to take the man’s cell phone, but the victim fought them off, said police.
One crook was wearing a black t-shirt, black denim shorts, and a doo-rag on his head.
The second assailant was wearing a white t-shirt, a baseball cap, and there was a chain hanging from a belt loop on his pants.
After escaping his attackers, the injured man made his way to Swedish Covenant Hospital at 5145 North California Avenue.
The would-be robbers are still at large.
If you witnessed this attack, please contact the police.
