Man stabbed in West Ridge - Thieves take man's suitcase in Rogers Park


A man was stabbed in the back of the head in Chicago's West Rogers Park, West Ridge neighborhood, said police.

The crime happened Tuesday around 1:50 a.m., in an alley behind 6441 North Hamilton Avenue, near Hamilton and Arthur, said authorities.

The offenders were described as two Hispanic men and a Hispanic female.

One of the male offenders is approximately 30-years-old, 5'6", 215 to 220 pounds, with a bald or shaved head.

The second male suspect is in his twenties, about 5'6", and 180 pounds.

The lone female offender is 24 to 26-years-old, approximately 120 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

After the attack, the offenders fled the scene eastbound towards Damen Avenue.

Despite being stabbed in the head, the victim was said to be in stable condition.

An hour prior to this crime, two male Hispanics and a female Hispanic, attacked someone in Lakeview.

Three suspects robbed a man in Rogers Park, around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The robbery occurred on the 7200 block of North Sheridan Road, near Sheridan and Touhy Avenue, said police.

Three black male offenders in their early twenties, beat the victim and took his suitcase, said authorities.

The three suspects, who were wearing white t-shirts and blue jeans, are approximately 5'7" and really thin.

Investigators said the robbery victim recovered his suitcase in a nearby alley. However, it's unclear if any of the victim's possessions were taken from the suitcase.

The injured man, who was bleeding, refused medical attention, said police.

No further details are available.

  1. My brother was the victim of the stabbing! He got 5 stab wounds on his back and a laceration on head, from a bottle,knife or a magflaslight :-( we are thankful he is alive! The ofenders are still at large! Docs say my bro was lucky! If anyone saw the incident and or the offenders and have any information please contact the 24th district police station! Thank you!
