A woman was robbed on the 1400 block of West Huron Street, and police are hoping a description of the thief's getaway vehicle will lead to his arrest.
The robbery occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of West Huron and North Bishop Streets. According to police, a thief took a woman’s purse containing her ID and other items.
The offender was described as a Hispanic man in a black and red jacket.
After the robbery, the crook jumped into a red or maroon truck. The left side of the truck’s bumper is being held together with duct tape, said authorities.
No further details are available.

Great description of the vehicle. That's what we all need to be doing, giving better descriptions. Too bad the court system doesn't give stiffer sentences when we do and their caught. More likely a slap on the wrist. I've always said the courts are for the criminal not the innocent victims.
