Police shot a man on Chicago’s South Side, after he reportedly brandished a weapon during a police foot chase.
Around 10:54 p.m., a black man wearing blue jeans and a black jacket, ran from police on the 8100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.
It's unclear why police were chasing the man.
As the suspect attempted to escape police, an officer involved in the foot chase, noticed that the offender was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun.
Police shot the man in an alley at 8127 South Cottage Grove Avenue, right behind the AutoZone store.
A weapon was recovered at the scene.
The injured suspect was taken to Christ Hospital in stable condition. No police officers were injured.

It NEVER ceases to amaze me the balls some people have. What's that line from that song..."I fought the law and the law won"?
