Police are investigating a shooting death on Chicago's West Side.
25-year-old Marcus Hurley was shot on the 3900 block of West Thomas Street, around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Moments later, Hurley was pronounced dead at Cook County's Stroger Hospital.
According to several news sources, the 25-year-old man was shot in the back.
I reached out to several people who knew the victim, but they were too distraught to comment on his death.
According to Hurley's Facebook page, he graduated from Orr High School in 2003.
Looks like 1 less gang banger off the streets! Let them kill each other off one by one, God willing!

that could have happened sooner if we still had segregation. They would all be in the same place and than it would be easier for all the gang bangers to kill each other. 1 gone, a million to go.

Those in the black community who are tax paying, contributing citizens should be able to live where ever they want and bringing the word "segregation" up takes our society back decades.

Wow really...black culture is the most imitated culture in the world. Black people are not the only ones who gang bang. Segregation...too late white people have stolen us already. Of course, crime impacts all and everyone thug isn't Black.
If this was 1911 again, "most" of the criminals were White.
In 2011, "most" of the criminals are Black. If the Black Community doesn't like this sad "truth", then the Black Community should whoop ghetto thugs' asses, instead of relying on community activists, politicians and preachers.

ReplyDeletemy heart and prayers go out to the family of Mr. Hurley,he was attempting to prove that we fall down but we get back up. To loose a life in it's prime is always a waste and reading some of the comments made even in vain. It's pretty obvious that the only color that matters is green and in my community it's not a lot of that around, so survivor of the fittest kicks in and we sometimes make choices that dealt a different hand we would'nt make.Let's fight to bring change so that our young men and women can do something else, at this rate won't be many of us left

ReplyDeleteHe was a wonderful person..he would give you the shirt off his back if he had to..and he was very educated..he graduated from highschool and he was going to school to better his life!!! My brother will be missed by many and he was loved by many!!!
