Girlfriend stabs boyfriend in South Shore neighborhood

A South Side Chicago man managed to take himself to the hospital after being stabbed by his girlfriend.

The stabbing happened around 1:50 p.m. on the 7800 block of South Essex Avenue in Chicago’s South Shore community.

According to police dispatch reports, the man was stabbed in the head by his girlfriend.

After the stabbing, the man walked to South Shore Hospital.

Google Maps shows two addresses for South Shore Hospital: 8012 South Crandon Avenue and 7906 South Crandon Avenue.

A motive for the stabbing and the victim’s condition were not disclosed.
