5 thugs rob 2 women on Chicago’s Near West Side

Around 11:30 p.m., officers patrolling Chicago’s Near West Side neighborhood, were flagged down by two female robbery victims.

The women were accosted by five black men near the corner of North Paulina Street and West Warren Boulevard, which is approximately 1600 West Warren.

The offenders stole two purses and fled the scene northbound on Paulina, then westbound through an alley on Warren.

One of the victim’s purses contained an iPhone with a GPS tracking system. Police were attempting to locate the criminals using the phone’s tracking device.

One of the five offenders had his hair styled in dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white jacket.
