A man was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital by his friends, after he was shot in the head outside an East Garfield Park, Chicago neighborhood liquor store.
The shooting occurred around 1:19 a.m. at 501 North Kedzie Avenue, near the intersection of North Kedzie Avenue and West Franklin Boulevard.
The address belongs to Franklin Foods and Liquors and a restaurant called Gen Hoe II (Two).
Multiple 911 calls indicate a large group was gathered in the liquor store’s parking lot when gunfire erupted.
The shooter is described as an African-American man with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a hat.
