Thieves Take Portage Park Woman’s Paycheck

A Portage Park woman, who cashed her paycheck the day before, was robbed near the intersection of North Laramie Avenue and West Cullom Avenue.

The robbery occurred around 7:12 p.m.

Police say two thieves stole $600.00 of the victim’s hard-earned cash. No weapon was seen, but a gun was implied.

Although two men were involved in the robbery, only one suspect has been described. That offender is a white man wearing a white hoodie with writing on it. According to the victim, the writing on the man’s hoodie looks like it was drawn with a marker.

The suspect was last seen running southbound on North Laramie Avenue. No information was given regarding the second offender's direction of flight.
