Around 2:33 a.m., police were contacted after a man was reportedly beaten near 6158 N. Winthrop Ave., in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood.

When police arrived, they discovered the situation was much worse.

Not one, but two men, were attacked and robbed on the 6100 block of North Winthrop Ave. Police say the crime scene spanned the area of 6110 and 6158 N. Winthrop Ave.

One victim was stabbed twice on his left side, with an unidentified object. The other victim sustained a cut above one of his eyes.

According to police, the assailants stole a wallet and a bike. It wasn’t clear which victim owned the stolen property.

The thieves were described as 3 African-American men. Because the victims spoke very little English, police had a hard time getting more details.

The stabbing victim was taken to Illinois Masonic. The victim with the cut above his eye was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital in Uptown.
