Would you be dumb enough to go to jail for your boss?

I know the economy sucks harder than a Dyson vacuum cleaner and holding on to a job is crucial for most people’s survival, but a line must be drawn, somewhere.

55-year-old Alma Price and her 36-year-old boss, Iaad Hamad, were arrested after a revenue agent, making sure the store wasn’t selling loose cigarettes, discovered drugs in a candy jar.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the H&Y Food Store at 3825 W. Chicago, was selling individual codeine pills for $5 a pop. And the madness doesn’t stop there! The drugs were prominently displayed in a candy jar behind the counter. Authorities also found a loaded handgun in the store.

Gag! Can’t you just picture Will & Grace’s Karen Walker, shopping there?!

Price and Hamad were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and with not having a valid firearm owner's identification (FOID) card.

Price was released on her own recognizance and Hamad was held on a $30,000 bond.

I’m sorry, but at 55-years-old, you would think Price would have exercised better judgment. Now, not only is she unemployed, she’s unemployed with a criminal record.
