Jessica Elizabeth, a former employee at Proof nightclub, 1045 North Rush Street, casually referred to blacks as “dirty, ignorant niggers” on her Facebook profile.
Andy J. Cuthbertson, one of Elizabeth’s alleged Facebook friends, seems to agree with the newly unemployed bartender's views.
In fact, when another Facebook user referred to blacks as porch monkeys, Cuthbertson said, "There's plenty of those out there. Go to the South Side of Chi at 11 at night. lol!"

Unfortunately, racial issues are nothing new at Proof. An April 2011 review posted on yelp.com suggests several potential patrons were racially profiled by the club's bouncer.
I went there for a friend's bday party and while I was having a good time, I had no idea that the bouncer was giving some of my friends a hard time getting in when they were all dressed according to the dress code. The way he was treating them definitely came off as racist....he was just letting everyone in ahead of them. They got sick of it and just left and I don't blame them
The same night, another friend of mine went to the bar to order a round of shots. After the bartender started making them, he went and added one more shot to the order and then blatantly saw her fill the shaker with WATER instead of alcohol. When he asked her why she did that she shrugged and said she wasn't paying attention.
The above scenarios are just two of the many problems that my friends ran into in just that one night.
We were a group of friends that were paying money at the bar and had even purchased bottle service and I am shocked with how rude the majority of the staff was and unbelievably disrespectful. My friends and I will never go there again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
While Elizabeth's views are extreme and downright unprofessional... she has a right to her beliefs and her employer has a right to fire her. However, incidents like the one captured in the following video, do very little to change racists opinions.

When people get butthurt by "racist" remarks (or any other offensive statements for that matter) their response is often to attack the person who said it, instead of just proving them wrong with a counter argument. The blogger was the one who contacted the establishment to complain, and may have even threatened to sue.

No decent business wants to be overrun with spook customers. When I worked as a waiter during college at an upscale restaurant, if spooks came in the hostess made them wait hours to be seated. If they finally were given a table, the waiters drew straws and the loser had to wait on their table. They don't know how to eat or behave like humans or tip. They would always leave the table looking like the same ghetto they grew up in. It would take 6 busboys to clear and clean and disinfect their table after they left.

I know what it's like to be a minority & it's not fun. When I was in Cook County Jail processing in, I was the only white dude. About 90% black 6% hispanic and 1% white.
