At 5:39 a.m., a cabdriver reportedly crashed into the side of a hotel on the 100 block of East Walton. A subsequent report indicated the driver actually slammed into the front side of The Drake hotel at 140 East Walton Place.
The cabdriver’s condition is unknown, but an ambulance was called to the scene.
