2 Gang Members Shot in Gage Park, as Gun Violence Gets the Weekend Started

Gunshots are popping off like popcorn on Chicago’s south side. Sadly, I am predicting another bloody weekend in Chi-town. Let’s hope my forecast is wrong.

At 8:39 p.m., a Chicago police officer announced that two men were shot on the 5100 block of South Rockwell Street, in Chicago‘s Gage Park neighborhood.  Police identified the shooting victims as Latin Kings.

No information on the victims’ condition was provided.

Police officers also reported hearing gunshots on the 5500 block of South Sacramento Ave.; which happened to be one of the many reports of shots fired, withing a 5 minute window. It’s being speculated that the widespread reports of gunshots in the Gage Park area, are linked to the Latin King shootings.

More gang-related stupidity:

An 11-year-old boy was allegedly injured on the 6300 block of South Kilpatrick Ave., in Chicago's West Lawn neighborhood.

Around 9:11 p.m., a huge gang fight was reported in the area. Moments later, a concerned father called 911, after his 11-year-old son was hurt.

No information was provided on the boy's injuries or his condition.
