Here's what an anonymous author had to say about the unsolved Uptown murder:
"A good source told me that Yolanda was murdered by her son Quamaine Wilson and Marcel Ray; (the barber at Nappy Headz). They did not carry out the murder themselves, but they orchestrated it.
Quamayne, which is her son, was on his way over to pick up some money and according to what i heard; he had called her and told her he was on his way and so when the knock came at the door; she thought it was him and opened the door.
She either made a mistake and did not ask who it was or she did, and saw a family member or someone related to Quamaine and thought it was OK to open the door.
This is where the story gets interesting, it turns out that Quamayne is now lying about that phone call; which is the reason why she opened her door at 5 in the morning, he is saying he did not call her.
It is weird how she died leaving so much money to her son and he didn't even put up a 500 or 1000$ reward for the arrest of her killer, I guess he was too busy four weeks later flashing money on facebook, the same money he killed his mother for.
From what I heard, the cops are watching the shop and they know that Quamayne son and Marcel the barber at Nappy Headz are responsible. The cops want any one who knows anything to call the chicago police at 312-744-8261."
CNR spoke with Marcel Ray and he denied any involvement in Yolanda Holmes'death, but he did sound extremely nervous.
"Why would I still be here in the shop that Yolanda and her sister ran together," replied Ray, when asked about the rumors of his alleged involvement in his former boss' murder.
When CNR asked Ray about his personal relationship with Quamaine Wilson, Yolanda Holmes' son, Ray's answers seemed evasive.
The only thing Ray would admit, is that he watched Quamaine grow up.
During our brief interview, Ray said he couldn't think of anyone who would want to falsely accuse him of murder.

I was at the funeral and he never shed a single tear for his mother; in fact he was comforting some of those who were crying; telling them to stop crying. He is a walking ice box with no emotion. Now he is on Facebook flashing his condo that he bought with the money he killed his mother for, but still no reward for the arrest of her killer. I was living across the street from Cynthia when Yogi was born. We were all living on Sacramento in the 100 block south. I went to see her when she came home from the hospital and held her in my arms. Her father's name was Jimmy and she has 2 other brothers and her younger sister, Nay Nay, which is her nick name, I know her father too. I know Cynthia is turning her grave. I hope her son goes to jail for life, just like his father, Todd. Yogi, loved that boy and he had a decent upbringing with good schools. I hope his a@@ rot in jail and he will, after them men finish with him.

This story is unbelievable. I was reading hoping to see the word stepson or adopted son, maybe foster son. A birth son so motivated by money and greed and living a false street cred lifestyle to actually have his buddies stab and shot his birth mother. And for her son to do this to his mother is terrible he was a wicked and evil he was the devil and there was nothing she did to make this young man this way I'm sure she raised him to be a great young man but he turned out to be the devil and I just hope she rest in peace God is with her now and he's holding her and she has no more worries and for her family and friends everyone should just continue to love her and not argue with one another because her killer is locked up. His father was a cold blooded killer and dope dealer in Garfield Park in the late 80's and early 90's. He is also responsible for Rodney Williams being in jail, with his stupid ass. Following Todd and now he is jail for life too. They are going to get this little freak in jail and there is nothing nay nay, Jimmy or James can do. NOTHING at all. Cynthia and I had been friends since the 50's and I know this would have broken her heart to know that he killed her first born child. I was living across the street from Cynthia when Yogi was born. She was living on Sacramento with her mother and father and she had on all pink when I went over to see her, that cold February day.

I just read about this story last night, had me in tears. I have two daughters & I have a hundred thousand dollars life insurance policy for my girls & I do what ever they want me to do, they are spoiled. But I know my kids will never do anything like that to me just for money when I give them my last. I would really like to know about what's been going on with the trial & how much time they gave him.
