Second stabbing near Chicago's Lollapalooza

Police are investigating a stabbing near the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park; the same area where Lollapalooza is being held.

At 11:21 p.m., a stabbing was reported at South Columbus and East Jackson Drives.

The initial police dispatch report indicated two people were stabbed, but subsequent information suggested there was only one stabbing victim.

An injured male was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

According to the last update, a security officer was holding an alleged offender for the police.

On Friday, a 53-year-old man was stabbed on the 200 block of South Michigan Avenue, just steps away from the three-day music festival.

If more details become available, this article will be updated accordingly.

So I didn't see the "artist" line-up this year. Or maybe I'm just not in "the loop" anymore as I quit reading the Red Eye.

I'll have to assume Joni Mitchell was there, now in a wheelchair, still complaining about how they paved paradise and put up a parking lot (after 12 years of the undesirable real estate on the market with no takers).
