Man carjacked on South Michigan Avenue

A man was carjacked in Chicago’s South Side Douglas neighborhood, said police.

According to police dispatch reports, the vehicular hijacking occurred Saturday, August 4, 2012, around 11:36 p.m., on the 3100 block of South Michigan Avenue.

Three black males, one of them armed with a gun, stole the victim’s car, said authorities.

Investigators said the main offender is approximately 19-years-old, about 5’10”, 180 pounds with dreadlocks. He was wearing black (army) fatigue shorts and a black T-shirt.

The stolen vehicle, described by police as a red 2006 Jeep, was last seen going northbound on Michigan Avenue from the 3100 block of South Michigan.
