In case you missed it, or weren't even aware of its existence, here's video from the December 3, 2011, 3rd Annual Santa Hustle 5K Run/Walk.
Around 9 a.m., the runners started at Montrose Harbor, 600 West Montrose Drive, then streamed northbound on North Simonds Drive through Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.
The participants received a free Santa hat, a customized Santa Claus shirt, a beard, and a goody bag.
Funds raised during the event were donated to Toys for Tots.

Look out, a real Flash Mob!
ReplyDeletePretty cool site to see, but if even a single cent of taxpayer money is spent on these santa suits and whatnot, its a waste.

ReplyDelete"Santa Claus Goes Straight To The Ghetto". Even James Brown knew "Uptowns" decades ago. This got alot of airplay in Detroit during the Holidays but Chicago gives new meaning to the tune.
I truly wish everyone in this "world class city" a blood free week between 12/25 and 1/1 (don't want to offend or unnerve with that "Christmas" word - oh Lord!).
Halfway through the race, many Santas had their smartphones stolen and then pepper sprayed, and promptly muh dikked by the fine residents of section 8 housing.

It's a race, dumbass. The participants paid for it, not taxpayers.

Meanwhile, in Boystown, the Fourth Annual Nigvitational "Rob Whitey and Run" is still going strong.
