If 28-year-old Jessica Leach thought people were talking about her before, tongues must really be wagging now that the "proud parent" has been charged with murder.
On Saturday, December 17, 2011, around 4:45 a.m., 61-year-old James S. Granger's burned remains were found in his River's Landing apartment at 3 Times Square in Elgin, Illinois.
Investigators said Leach and a second offender, who has not been identified by police, tried to rob Granger.
Apparently, Leach knew the victim and may be responsible for facilitating the alleged attempted robbery.
The Elgin, Illinois woman who once described herself as a "proud parent" on MySpace, has been charged with first-degree murder.
Charges are also pending against a second person.
In addition to being a suspected murderer, Leach apparently suffers from paranoia; or whatever mental ailment rots the brains of (alleged) sociopaths.
According to the "About Me" section of her online profile, Leach is/was under the impression that people in Elgin were talking about her behind her back.

As an educated black woman, I can say that racism is still very much alive today. It easy to say, "If you don't like your situation than change it" but that is not the real issue here. The real issue is the 400 years of slavery, the 100 years of Jim Crow and segregation that developed a mentality and a value system that keeps us inferior in this country. It took both The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Affirmative Action to help, and we are still treated as inferior and most of us whether we want to admit it or not see ourselves as inferior.

ReplyDeleteWe all hope and pray is parents that our children will grow up and be respectful law abiding citizens we teach them to have values and to use commonsense and wisdom that will take them to unknown places if they use it right. I know the parents of this young lady and my heart goes out to them as well as the Granger family who I also know.I feel compelled to write to all of you that have your various comments or opinons about the fate of this young lady and the ignorant ones that would use the race card for alleged crime the law states your innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.What I don't understand is the hate you people are writing about a person some of you have never even met. I attended the memorial services for the victim and the family spoke on forgiveness and love for the accusers so that they may go on my point is for you that are parents and your trusting your children to make sound choices and God forbid for some reason they're accused of breaking the law like this young lady was will you write the same statements? will you sing the same songs? or have the same attitude? my guess would be no and you would not waste time writing nasty comments about someone that some of you may or may not know at the end of the day she's still someones mother,daughter,sister,friend and above all a human being.I also want to say you have no idea were your child will be or what they will do you can only hope and pray that it's not a situation like this so be careful how you pass judgement now they tell me it comes back to you have a nice day I solicit the prayers of the righteous on behalf of the two family.

ReplyDeleteColor, race, ethnicity have nothing to do with what she did 2 that man. I work with her mother & there were rumors going around that she was messing around with a young married man. She tends to put people down thinking she is superior to others. So, No I don't think she comes from a good family.
ReplyDeleteYou know i have sat here and read all these obsured comments about this poor girl. i just believe that no one should have to be judged by paper and for all of you to judge this girl. why is it that as adults and as if any of you are mothers, fathers,just be thankful that it is not one of your love ones. it can happen to any of you. we don't know what was going on in her head. my heart goes out to both sides and if you all are going to act like idiots you should not be allowed to even leave a comment. Just pray for both families if you all wantt t do something constructive.
