FBI: Men can be raped, too

The FBI's new definition of rape now includes men.

Prior to the FBI National Crime Information Center Advisory Board's decision to update the Uniform Crime Report (UCR) definition of rape, rape was defined as, "The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will."

The new definition, which now includes men, defines rape as, "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim."

The updated UCR definition of rape will take effect next year, possibly in the spring.

  1. There's a whole lot of prison rape going on. Did they think that this was not a crime?

Its about time that they realized that men can be rape victims, too.

  2. For a real story, tell us why the FBI does not include Chicago in its lists of major crime statistics.
