Man shot in the buttocks in Rogers Park
A male black victim was shot in the butt on the city’s North Side, said police.
The shooting occurred around 10:56 p.m. at 6929 North Ashland Avenue, near Ashland and Morse Avenues, said police.
Authorities recovered six to seven shell casings in the area.
According to investigators, the shooting victim was walking northbound on Ashland when he was shot.
Police said the victim claims he did not see the shooter.
An officer at the scene described the victim’s injury as a graze wound.
An eyewitness saw an older model, navy blue, Chevy Astro van with temporary plates, flee the scene.
The vehicle was occupied by two male Hispanics, said the tipster.
