The 2011 AIDS Run, Walk Chicago starts Saturday, October 1, in Grant Park at 337 East Randolph Street.
Online registration is closed, but you can still sign up tomorrow at the Day of Event/Last Minute Registration Booth; last minute registration ends at 8:15 a.m.
Saturday, beginning at 6:45 a.m., streets between Roosevelt and Randolph, and Michigan and Lake Shore Drive, will be closed.
This weekend, downtown State Street will be closed to motorists, as well.

The South Side Help Center at 10420 South Halsted Street, will also participate in this year's AIDS fundraising event.
According to their website, SSHC has been involved in HIV/AIDS prevention and education in the black community, for more than twenty years.
