Rogers Park: Fire on Sheridan Road
At 3:53 a.m., a fire was reported at a four-story apartment building in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.
According to officials, the fire was at 6726 North Sheridan Road, near Sheridan and Columbia.
An officer at the scene said the fire started in a third floor apartment.
At 3:58 a.m., police were still evacuating residents from the North Side building.
At 4 a.m., a tenant, still inside the burning structure, said the stairwell on the 4th floor was filled with smoke.
No injuries or displacements were reported.
