
At 8:41 a.m., an off-duty Chicago police officer was struck in the head by an offender on the South Side.
The incident happened at 8133 South Dobson at Dobson and East 81st Street, near the UPS Drop Box.
It’s unclear how or why the off-duty cop make contact with the offender.
When the suspect struck the officer, the officer shot him, said police.
Wounded, the offender managed to escape.
Police described the perpetrator as a black man with a medium complexion, wearing a red shirt.
Around 8:55 a.m., authorities searched the warehouse that spans 8121 to 8133 South Dobson.
At 8:58 a.m., neighboring hospitals were told to be on the lookout for any incoming patients with gunshot wounds.
The off duty-officer, who was said to be in good condition, was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital at 2800 West 95th Street.

ReplyDeleteBlunt force trauma to the head can KILL a person. Therefore, it can be considered attempted murder. The cop was defending his life! Sounds like you may be one of the fools running around bashing people in the heads.
