Lakeview dry cleaners burglarized


A citizen dialed 911 to report a burglary at a North Side business, after he heard the sound of breaking glass, said police.

Three men were seen breaking into a dry cleaners in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood at approximately 12:40 a.m., said police dispatch.

The incident occurred at 3134 North Southport Avenue, near Southport and Fletcher.

The address belongs to Devrim Cleaners.

According to information obtained by police, one offender was wearing a white bandana.

No further details were provided regarding the suspects’ descriptions.

Police confirmed the burglary around 12:45 a.m.

On November 10, 2010, a man was robbed at gunpoint on the 3000 block of North Southport. Police said the victim was robbed after leaving a nearby dry cleaners.
