Person shot in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood


A person was shot on Chicago’s South Side, said police.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the 7100 block of South California Avenue, said authorities.

According to police dispatch, the gunshot victim was shot in the buttocks.

The injured person was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center at 5841 South Maryland Avenue.

No further details are available.

  1. Will it EVER change? What will it take? Haven't ENOUGH people been shot and killed? When will the community step to the plate and at least try and take the streets back from these ghetto thugs?
