Police believe the same group is responsible for muggings from Roosevelt Road to 18th Street, between Prairie Avenue and Michigan Avenue.
"In these incidents, the offenders exit a vehicle, approach the victims from behind, knock them to the ground and take their valuables," said police.
Authorities are looking for three black males between 18 to 25-years-old, 5'10" to 6'1", 140 to 200 pounds, who were last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.
They are also looking for a black female 16 to 19-years-old, 5'8" to 5'10", and 120 to 130 pounds.
According to a Chicago News Report investigation, one robbery occurred Saturday, July 9, 2011.
Around 1:52 p.m., a strong-arm robbery took place on the 1400 block of South Indiana Avenue.
The offenders fled the scene in a dark green vehicle with the partial license plate: U71.
I saw this on the news as well EXCEPT they didn't mention ethnicity. I also heard that the neighborhood was going to start up a patrol and get the community involved to try and nip this behavior from these ghetto thugs in the butt! Wonder if THAT neighborhood will get called out and protested like Boystown for trying to protect their neighborhood and it's residents. Gee's what are neighborhoods suppose to do, bend over and take it? Gimme a break. It's a good thing to get the community involved. It sends a message to these ghetto thugs that we're ALL fed up!

ReplyDeleteFor christ's sake, at least a dozen of these kinds of robberies happened in Logan Square from fall 2010 through early spring 2011. 2-4 men would get out of a car and ambush mostly women walking alone. One of my friends was robbed this way. Only made the news when one guy tracked down robbers using his iPhone "find my iPhone" utility. The media only reports it if it happens within a few blocks of the TV station, it seems.

I own 6 income producing buildings, 2 single family houses, paid for my children's college, own a total of 6 cars which I paid cash for and have traveled around the entire world - which was paid for up front. I didn't come from money, we made it the old fashion, way by working hard. I resent your comment which shows you are a pathetic and shallow person who probably has never associated with people outside of your race. I have a daughter who lives in the south loop so I do hope they catch the guys, despite their race, but the worst criminals of the most vicious crimes have proven to be white males. What an idiot!!

To Anonymous - first of all, you obviously don't have a life since you find time to comment over and over again right away. You should consider an english tutor to understand when to use the word "an" as in "an math tutor". However, who cares what you or anyone else believe to be true. I earned every dime and purchased every thing including the cars and homes I have, and paid CASH for it all. This makes ME feel good about my life. I don't have to prove anything to you or anyone else. Back to the subject - as I stated before, the MOST vicious and disgusting crimes were by WHITE MALES, a few examples, old Jeffery who likes eating his friends, or the fat, gay guy who killed his day workers and buried them under his house! Or the policeman who keeps killing his wives, not to mention pretty boy Scott, who killed his pregnant wife and then cut the baby out of her torso and threw them both away. Not to minimize the south loop crimes, but these kids didn't hurt anyone anyone, although I do hope they get caught and punished. I could give you more, but I have to get back to my good paying job!!! So don't sit on your flat ass and talk about how "we" are a drain on society until you know the facts. Now as to your comment no one is getting hurt maybe you missed what I saw last night in the parking lot of Whole Foods. It was quite surreal to be honest. I saw a "white male" probably a criminal by your labels. He was most likely responsible for the bloody mess of his face and hands. He deserved the beating those Niggers gave him. I'm sure he thought that the whole way to the ER where they probably put him in intensive care. If you cared with your vast supply of disposable money perhaps you'd hire a few detectives to uncover the culprits from this heinous crime instead of worrying about what some racist people post. If you were understanding you might think that these racist bigots might have a point. Had I the vast funds you claim you have I would definitely give back to the community some of what you have managed to pillage over the years of your so called "honest" ways.
