Police investigate Rogers Park shootings


Police are investigating several shootings in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

One incident occurred around 8 p.m. in an alley on the 6600 block of North Newgard, near Newgard and Albion Avenues, said police.

It’s unclear if anyone was actually shot.

Investigators found shell casings and live ammunition in the alley.

According to police dispatch, the shooter or shooters were driving a Buick LeSabre.

The car has a light blue body and a dark blue top, said police.

The vehicle may also have a dent in the roof.

Police also mentioned a shooting on the 6600 block of North Glenwood.

A male gunshot victim sustained a graze wound to his knee, said authorities.

It's unclear if the two incidents are related.
