Man robbed near Rogers Park church


At approximately 2 a.m., a man was robbed at gunpoint near a North Side church, said police.

The armed robbery happen near the Rogers Park Presbyterian Church at 7059 North Greenview Avenue, near Greenleaf and Greenview, said authorities.

A black man in all black clothing, pulled a gun and stole the victim’s wallet, said investigators.

After the robbery, the crook fled the scene northbound on Greenview Avenue.

The suspect is in his late teens or early twenties, approximately 5’11”, 160 pounds, and has a dark complexion.

No further details are available.

  2. If there was a god, the guy would have been struck down dead right then and there. But I gotta wonder. Walking around alone at 2am isn't the best idea. I'll gladly spend the money for a taxi than take a chance walking down the street at 2am.
