Woman attacked in Rogers Park, suspect arrested at CTA train station
Around 8:19 p.m., a woman asked passersby to call the police, after she was physically assaulted in Rogers Park.
The incident occurred on the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road, near Sheridan and Pratt Boulevard, said police.
According to one police dispatch report, a man attacked the woman and snatched her purse. However, that report has not been confirmed.
The offender was described as a 6-foot-tall, 25-year-old black man with a medium complexion.
The suspect was wearing green shoes and dark-colored khaki shorts.
At 8:28 p.m., the assailant was arrested at the Loyola Red Line “L” station at 1200 West Loyola Avenue.
An officer at the scene said the woman does not know her attacker.
No further details are available.

Every community needs to start doing what BoysTown/Lakeview is doing if we want to rid our communities of these ghetto trash! That corner is fairly busy and I'm surprised no one heard or saw anything or IF they did they put their hands over their mouths, hands over their ears and hands over their ears...sound familiar?
ReplyDeleteMe and my wife just moved from there we lived on the southside before then she thought anything up north was better...wrong BLACK PEOPLE everywhere starting crap
ReplyDeleteIt got to the point where we had to ask ourselves if we wanted to risk being here this summer when they would be out in full force....we made the right decision to leave
Good for you and your wife for getting out. Sadly, people who have bought condo's there because they were less for more, are totally stuck. There have been rapes in the Leone beach area of loyola women, beating, well, you name it, it goes on. The only place you will hear about it is right here on CNR! We have become a society of PC people who don't want to offend a certain group but they can offend us. What's wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us aware Timothy:)
I am so glad there are no white criminals anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad they aren't near as abundant as the rest are! Now, IF we could just get these ghetto thugs to follow the example of how civilized people live, the city just might be a better place, though I won't hold my breath.

ReplyDelete*yawn* What else is new?
Yes, please get out. Please let us know when you find a crime free and color-blind community.
ReplyDeleteThe ones who should "get out" are the black criminals and their supporters, not citizens looking for a safe area.
ReplyDeleteI am a 62yo Black man, I live in a beautiful well-integrated (color-blind), VERY low crime Far Outer Western Suburb near Naperville.
ReplyDeleteAll the Black people (about 25% of pop.) out here a like Dr. Huxtable and family (Uncle Toms/"acting White").
That is why I KNOW those animals in the city act that way consciously and on purpose; and I sure in F R A C K would NOT want them living out here. (No worrys - no Section 8 housing stock out here)
Mike P. , it's statistically impossible for you to live anywhere in the USA, being a racial minority, and you to not live in government housing or have government housing in your city. Check with the IL Dept of Housing, HUD or your county's housing depth.
