Man shot near Rogers Park alley
At 9:52 p.m., gunshots were reported on the 6700 block of North Clark Street near Clark and North Shore Avenue, in Rogers Park.
Investigators combed the area, but couldn't find any evidence of a shooting.
At 10:24 p.m., police were notified that a gunshot victim was at a nearby hospital.
According to the shooting victim, who was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, he was shot near an alley at Ravenswood and Wallen Avenues.
Authorities found a trail of blood, shell casings, and live ammunition north of Wallen on Ravenswood Avenue. The official crime scene is at 1760 West Wallen Avenue.
The victim was identified as a 24-year-old Hispanic man. He was shot in the left forearm, said police.
No arrests have been made.
Police are investigating.
