A 15-year-old boy was shot on Chicago’s Northwest Side and his injuries may be life-threatening.
The boy was shot around 7 p.m. at 2219 or 2519 North Lockwood Avenue in Chicago’s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. The police gave two different addresses for the crime scene.
According to an officer at the scene, the 15-year-old kid was shot on the left side of his ribcage and is in serious condition.
An unconfirmed source said the boy’s wounds may be “self-inflicted”.
Investigators recovered at weapon at the crime scene.
No further details are available.
