The victim, an African-American man, was surrounded by six Latino men, who asked him if he was in a gang. Even though the victim denied any gang affiliation, he was stabbed in the arm and leg, said police.
As the victim was being stabbed, his attackers yelled, “SD Killa!” Which stands for Satan Disciple killers.
The offenders were last seen running southbound on Nobel towards Eckhart Park, 1330 West Chicago Avenue.
The victim was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in good condition.
Summer is going to be hell on earth here with all these ghetto thugs thinking they own our streets. Latino's, blacks, skinheads, thugettes. Man, we are in deep shit. I say the innocent people need to be able to defend themselves so the field is even. There are not enough cops out there to combat this. Bring in the National Guard!

ReplyDeleteThat's a dangerous area to be Walking While Black. Used to be Italian gangs, now it's PR--they mostly ignore the white hipsters, but god help a black man around there. Used to be gangs would just work you over, but now killing is the norm; dude is lucky to be alive.

ReplyDeleteAnon 12:21--gangsters make assumptions based on race. Not too many white gangs around any longer, a few white individuals distributed among Disciples nation, mostly. In that part of town, they presume a 20-something black guy is representing. He may have been some poor skinny jean Bipster, or may have been the real thing. In any event, he's lucky to have survived.

ReplyDeleteI grew up in that area in the 80s as a peewee, it was mostly latino back then the main gangs were Harrison Gentz, and Ashland Vikings, I went 2 Peabody on augusta with a lot of them cats, both of these gangs were white gangs in the 70s with latinos n blacks, but over the years the latinos took over both nations, plus there was mks n the 80s. and u had sdz, Ljivers,mldz, and cnotes a few blocks west, but noble square was all black, and it was vice lords,and GDz, but when I went 2 Peabody I was the only white kid in my grade, and u start hanging with a gang depending on what u street ur from at an early age, I was in 3rd grade when I got suspended from school 4 wearing a black n purple hat with an HG in old English on it, but u walk 2 the corner and anyway u looked back then there was a diff nation, now it has changed, mostly yuppies there, my house I grew up in is now gone, it was on the corner of augusta/greenview, but there is only a few houses left that was there in the dayz, now its all condos, and u see bmw s parked all over the place, so its changed alot
