Moseley Braun Says Opponent, Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins, 'Strung Out On Crack'
Lord, have mercy Jesus! Carol Moseley-Braun is messier than barbecue ribs with extra sauce!
During a Sunday, January 30, 2011, mayoral candidate meet-and-greet at Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's far south side, Carol Moseley-Braun went on the attack after opponent, Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins, asked the audience where Mosely-Braun had been for the last 20 years.
According to CBS Chicago, Moseley-Braun shot back, "Patricia, the reason you didn’t know where I was for the last 20 years is because you were strung out on crack."
Apparently, Van Pelt-Watkins once struggled with a substance abuse problem, but claims she's been sober for 25 years.
Someone should inform Moseley-Braun that "God don't like ugly".

WOW! What a classless person Braun is. There was no need for her to say that except that's what she resorts too..low blows.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way Moseley-Braun is going to be elected mayor. In the beginning I thought she had a chance, but I've changed my mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that Tim. I've met Mrs Watkins years ago, I attended school with her children and niece and nephew. So I was insulted by this statement and I feel really bad for them. What an ignorant broke woman! Only the immature would stoop this low. GOOD JOB Carol MOSTLY FRAUD!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Lovely One, there is something with Moseley-Braun. She may need a psyche evaluation. And I'm not kidding.
ReplyDeleteAt this event, lot of disrespect went on. :(
ReplyDeleteFirst, on Sunday, a holy day for most (?) Christians, a political candidate debate was held at a church. Where is the respect for God? Surely, another church usage day or alternate venue could have been used.
Second, Watkins complained about not being allowed at the Chicago Tribune/WGN debate. Finally, she has a chance to articulate her views, but instead resorts to "asking" Carol about where has she been for the past twenty years. Where has Watkins been for the past twenty years? Others and I haven't heard of her.
Third, I can almost understand Carol being defensive (Who wouldn't be ?). Defensive or not, this debate was held at a church. Morally and respectfully, rules of conduct exist in all aspects of life-especially a church. A more polite way of self defense or turning the other cheek was required.
