Charlotte, N.C. --- When violence exploded at a Charlotte, North Carolina high school basketball ball game, someone caught the incident on camera.

The brawl occurred Friday, January 28, 2011, at East Mecklenburg High School, 6800 Monroe Road.

The trouble allegedly started when a Butler High School student crossed the gymnasium to talk to a East Mecklenburg High School coach. When an East Mecklenburg High School resource officer told the female student to go back to the Butler High School side of the gym, Ernest Owens, the student's father, exchanged words with the officer.

Somehow, the verbal confrontation ignited a full-blown physical assault on the resource officer.

According to police, the Butler High School student's father, mother, and sister pounced on the officer - striking him in the head.

Mr. Owens was arrested on multiple charges and other arrests are pending.

Owens said he regrets what happened.

  1. The kids in the background are probably repeating to themselves "please don't ley that be my parents, Please don't let that be my parents" What an embarrassment for those players to have to see this and than go to school the next day. These are angry mean black people who hate life and their own culture.

  2. Towanda, I am convinced that certain segments of society have retrogressed to the caveman days. It takes a LOT of rage to carry on like that in public!

  3. I do not watch professional sports because it gives money to thuggy blacks. I find my entertainment elsewhere.
