The robbery occurred at a store called Avenue at 2941 West Addison Avenue, in the Addison Mall. According to the retailer’s website, the store specializes in plus size clothing for women.
Around 6:40 p.m., an African-American man walked into the store and ran off with two racks of women’s winter coats. Then the thief jumped into a maroon vehicle with the license plate K593707.
A witness said there was another African-American man in the passenger seat of the getaway car.
No where seems to be safe from these ghetto thugs and NOTHING is safe from being stolen. It really doesn't surprise me that people are becoming so prejudiced anymore. We truly are moving backwards, thanks to these thugs. Maybe stores should start asking for ID's at the door. Maybe they need to put a security guard at the door so the thugs think twice. This of course, will cost money which will be passed on to the people who actually pay for the things they have, but whats the difference, we already pay extra for the things they steal. I, for one, am willing to pay a little extra to deter these ghetto thugs. Something has to be done to stop them. The police can't be everywhere. "A RACK OF PLUS SIZE COATS?
