Attempted Armed Robbery at Oak Park Beauty Supply Store

Police are looking for three African-American suspects wanted for an attempted armed robbery at a beauty supply store.

The incident was reported around 6:45 p.m. by an employee at C&Y Beauty Supply Store, located at 6039 West North Avenue, in Chicago’s Oak Park neighborhood.

The suspects are between the age of 18 and 19-years-old and approximately 5’7”. During the attempted robbery, the men’s faces were covered.

One suspect had a white scarf over his face and the other two offenders’ faces were covered with black scarves. According to police, at least one of the perpetrators is armed with a gun.

  1. These places need to have some type of button to push for police assistance the minute thugs like this walk in. I doubt very seriously 3 guys walking into a BEAUTY supply store are going to buy BEAUTY supplies. Is this profiling? Maybe so but better safe than sorry. Besides, we don't just profile, we're so conditioned now with all the african-american thugs preying on us, what do people expect? If the shoe fits...

    towanda, in between posting these reports, I made a quick trip to my neighborhood Walgreens. While I was standing in line, a man walked in with his left hand shoved into his coat pocket. He never took his hand out of his pocket. Then I spotted him darting in and out of the cosmetics aisle. Your words popped into my head! LOL!
