Police were asked to “pay special attention” to a large group of people going door-to-door singing Christmas Carols on Chicago’s south side.
The group, approximately 100 people, some of them children, were seen spreading Christmas joy on the 7900 block of South Racine Avenue in Chicago‘s Auburn-Gresham neighborhood, around 7:49 p.m.
Because of the rampant, senseless gun violence in the area, police were asked to safeguard the carolers. According to one source, the group is associated with Father Pfleger’s St. Sabina Church.
Normally, I keep my personal feelings out of my crime reports. But when cops have to protect little children singing Christmas Carols, it says a lot about the sad state of humanity.

WOW! This is both sad and cute. How pathetic that the gun violence is so bad that little children have to be protected doing something that has been done for decades. Pravo to the children, parents and police for not letting ghetto thugs ruin their spirit! I would have loved to hear them caroling.
ReplyDeletetowanda, this story touched my heart and pissed me off at the same time. No one's child should have to grow up in that environment.
