Ontario Billups Shot & Killed by Police on Chicago's South Side

The last post on Ontario (Long-Long) Billups' Facebook page was, "money iz alwayz on my mind'. Now, many are left wondering if "Long-Long's" lust for fast cash, lead to an untimely death.

On December 4, 2010, around 8:30 p.m., Billups, 30, was shot and killed by a female Chicago police officer on the 8100 block of South Ashland Avenue in Gresham.

Police claim the 30-year-old man was in a car and "appeared" to be selling drugs. When police asked Billups to exit the vehicle, he supposedly stuck his hands in his pockets and made an "aggressive" move toward the officers.

Billups was shot and killed - pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers admit no weapon was recovered. But what about the drugs Billups "appeared" to be selling? Where are they?

I interviewed several people who feel the officer who shot Billups, over reacted. As a result of several Chicago police officers being murdered, they believe most cops are on edge and a little trigger happy.

I scoured Billups’ Facebook page for more insight into his personality. The only clue that jumped out at me was a website designed to help inmates find pen pals on Facebook. Billups tagged the website as one of his favorites.

    1. How ignorant of you to think like this or even repeat something like this! !!! It could be one of your family members at anytime! GOD IS THE ONLY PERSON TO JUDGE WHO DESERVES TO LIVE OR DIE!

  3. Why do they always say "he was turning his life around and just got a GED", when they are killed while doing the wrong thing? This is crazy! People need to be held accountable for their actions.

  4. MaryMary, You must have a brain as small as those lambs. Because the Police Department fed you chicken feed. He didn't have anything on his person to link him to their investigation. I don't care what he did in the past, he didn't kill anyone and he didn't almost kill anyone. He was convicted without the attempted murder weapon being found. It was a rival hood situation that ended up with the guy long long was arguing with getting shot in the back. I was there! But let it be a member of your family you would blame everybody but that member for the wrong that happened. stop listening and watching TV, Cause you can change the picture but the frame remains the same.

  7. Seems like some of Billups 12 siblings have taken to the internet to prop up their lawsuit against the City. Maybe if they supported him more before his death he would not have been such a dirtbag.
