Thief Tries to Steal Tires from Rogers Park Woman's Car

Police are looking for a brazen thief who tried to steals the tires off a woman’s car.

The attempted theft of auto-parts occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

The offender was described as an African-American man wearing a blue or aqua-colored Kangol (hat) and a black leather jacket. Police said the unsuccessful bandit fled the scene in an older model, tan or gold SUV.

He was last seen driving westbound through an alley near Jonquil Terrace.
