Witnesses said the occupants of a red or burgundy vehicle opened fired and sped westbound from the 1814 West Pratt address.
Drive-by shootings were also reported near the intersection of West Pratt Boulevard and North Bosworth Avenue and at 6128 North Ashland.
Police say the shootings were orchestrated by the offenders in the red or burgundy car.
The occupants of the vehicle were described as two or three African-American men. One witness said the driver‘s hair was braided or twisted.
At 2:38 p.m., police stopped three suspects near the intersection of North Bosworth Avenue and West Jonquil Terrace. The suspects were driving a red, Mercury Sable. The trio may be responsible for the day's rash of drive-by shootings in Rogers Park.
No injuries were reported.
UPDATE: As of 3:28 p.m., police are still looking for the suspects wanted for the shootings.
