Man Punched in the Face During Lakeview Robbery

As if being robbed weren’t bad enough, a man was struck in the face during a robbery in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

The violent confrontation occurred around 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of North Halsted Street and West Aldine Avenue.

According to police, the victim was jumped by three, teenaged, African-American men in black coats.

After the mugging, the thieves fled southbound on North Halsted Street. Information regarding the stolen proceeds was not disclosed.
