Around 6:45 a.m., a 67-year-old woman was knocked to the ground and robbed on the 1400 block of West Chase Ave., in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. The exact address given by police was 1401 W. Chase.
An Internet search indicates the address is associated with a program called Outreach.
It isn’t clear if the assault and robbery occurred inside or outside of the building.
The offender was described an African-American man, approximately 20-years-old, and “tall”. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
The crook stole the woman’s tan purse with her medication, keys, and $15 in it. He was last seen running westbound on Chase Ave.
